Notes: The museum's RV-4 is a kit type sport aircraft built by IAM founder James Read
along with assistance from a friend in 1991. This aircraft is small and maneuverable, and
is packed with horsepower via a Lycoming opposing 6 cylinder engine. The RV-4 is
designed for some aerobatics, but can also be used for cross country travel to visit
friends and family. With a speed up to 200mph, the RV-4 can cross nearly half of the
U.S. in a day. For more information, see the official RV-4 website.
Museum aircraft are often away at air shows and events, so if you are coming to visit the museum, please check our Aircraft Schedule
