- Take a ride in a WWII Primary Trainer, a 1941 Boeing Stearman. This is an authentic plane with military history that has been restored to original condition in Army Air Corps colors. The 7 cylinder radial engine of 220 horsepower will propel you along at a casual rate for a scenic and beautiful open-cockpit ride over Valparaiso, specifically flying where you request.
- Check out the 1941 PT-17 Stearman! Ride Cost: $175.00
- Take a ride in the Texan. During WWII, after having passed training in the Stearman, the airman then went to the Advanced Trainer 6, otherwise known as the "Texan." This entailed a closed cockpit instrument trainer with a 600 horsepower radial that takes the plane up to 140mph. This particular post-WWII Texan served as a trainer, and then flew for France in Algeria, before being sold as surplus and restored for the museum. The Texan gives a wonderful ride over the Valpo area.
