Valparaiso EAA

EAA, the Experimental Aircraft Association, is a growing and diverse organization of members with a wide range of aviation interests and backgrounds. EAA was founded in 1953 by a group of individuals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who were interested in building their own airplanes. Through the decades, the organization expanded its mission to include antiques, classics, warbirds, aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicopters and contemporary manufactured aircraft.

EAA is dedicated to the discovery and fulfillment of individual potential through opportunities and challenges inspired by the dream of personal flight. More importantly, the organization focuses on people, offering the opportunity to make new aviation friends and form relationships while encouraging the sharing of information, stories and enthusiasm.

Through its people-serving programs, activities, and benefits, EAA shares the spirit, traditions and standards of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Its mission focuses upon EDUCATION, on the rich HERITAGE of man's quest for flight and on RESEARCH and INNOVATIONS accomplished by individuals in aviation.

EAA SportAir Workshops offer weekend workshops that will launch you on the most satisfying and rewarding adventure of your life. These 1, 2, or 3 day courses will prepare you to build your own airplane.

The mission of the Young Eagles Program is to provide a meaningful flight experience for children between the ages of 8 and 17. Flights are provided free of charge through the generosity of EAA members world wide. The program's initial goal was to fly 1 million Young Eagles by the 100th anniversary of the Wright brothers’ first powered flight (December 17, 2003), and it did!

Children's success in life depends upon the guidance provided by their elders. If you know children who have an interest in aviation, point them in the right direction ...

The EAA, centered in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, offers the most extravagant air show each year termed Airventure, which offers static displays of military, heritage/nostalgic, and warbird aircraft, as well as outstanding aerobatic performances by such pilots as Patty Wagstaff, Sean Tucker, and Dale Snodgrass,
